Testicular Inflammation
Inflammation of the scrotum is caused by a bacterial or viral infection. This disease is one of the most common diseases of the scrotum, often resulting in inflammation of the testicles and/or epididymis.
What are the symptoms of testicular inflammation?
Those affected usually experience reddening and swelling of the scrotum. These symptoms are often associated with severe pain. Depending on the extent of the disease, fever and a rash can also be symptoms of testicular inflammation.
Treatment options for testicular inflammation!
Taking anti-inflammatory medication is recommended as treatment for testicular / epididymitis. In the case of a bacterial infection, antibiotic therapy is unavoidable. You will receive an appropriate prescription after your urological treatment consultation at the UROMED Competence Centre UROLOGY in Vienna or at any of our clinics in Istanbul or Bursa. Bed rest and cooling of the scrotum will also be prescribed.
If it is an inflammation of the epididymis, immediate medical advice is of great importance. The epididymis is responsible for the maturation and transportation of sperm cells. If there is a blockage of the small tubules in this area, this often leads to infertility.
